Ang Tinubdan (The Source)

Vogue

There is more to the ecological crisis than a crisis of the living– it is a crisis of our relationships with the living. The Source serves as a mirror that reflects how we treat nature is inevitably how we also treat one another. Like a refreshing dip in a blue lagoon, I want to offer a new perspective on how we can change our relationship with nature from that of dominance to a deeper connection to each of our roots. If only we could all dive deeper into this reflection. To bathe in The Source is to reconnect with our origins and emerge out of a lost paradise that is home to a sacredness of nature and self. Isolation can be healing. It brings the gift of feeling. There are eternal waters that connect us to all river forms, and to find them again, we must dive into our soul.

n collaboration with Vogue Philippines and Camille D.P., KAIZEN STUDIO produced a striking photography series on the lush island of Siargao. The project highlights the deep connection between nature and style, featuring a local fashion stylist and showcasing the authentic beauty of local island girls. Through this series, we celebrate how fashion can evoke nature’s raw essence, capturing a visual narrative that is both evocative and real.
